Hello ... Remember me? The guy in the blue hat - Edinburgh Fest, Wishbone Ash, Tiger Lillies, Inter-Action, Texas, The Zombies ... new people joining the mail-list all the time, hence a memory jogger! This is an update to a recent mail-shot, so please don't think I'm blagging ... dp x Those of you who tapped into the live music event we were holding at The Globe in Glossop last Sunday Jan 30th, will be delighted to know that we raised an incredible £5,140 for Tsunami Relief.
The remainder of the money is being added to as more comes in, and a final total with distribution of cash info and accounts will be announced soon. Which only leaves me to say a massive 'well done' to everyone involved - you made it - and I honestly have to say it is one of the best concerts I've ever been involved in - 10 hours, 2 stages, and every heart a great big beautiful heart of gold! If you'd like to catch up on who played, join the discussion or add a sponsored donation to any of the artistes who performed, please go to www.globemusic.org.
A date not to
be missed: A full length show return to the scene of that legendary 'Global' gig, and our recent Tsunami relief gig. On this occasion, with a special trio line-up featuring two very special friends, Ann English and Kevin Farrell. WE'RE FEEDING YOU AS WELL!!! There's plenty of FREE HOT POT from 8pm, and then it's straight into the live music with special guest, Yorkshire's finest Shaun T Hunter, who has just released one of the finest albums called 'Flying Not Falling'. Sadly ... The Two-Bar Promotions gig at The Green Room in St Helens planned for Thursday Feb 17th has been cancelled. Therefore those of you who were planning to come to that, please check out the Earthhum gig in Widnes the following evening as an alternative, Friday 18th Feb. Details in the gig guide. Come and Play ... the Acoustica songwriters open mic continues at The Bakers Vaults in Stockport on Thursday Feb 10th - 8.30pm if you wanna play, 8.45pm start.
Discussion Forum ... And of course via the same link you can access the Stereo Graffiti / Netrascope discussion forum, now with 110 members, and none of the usual message board nonsense. dp x ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Privacy
